Fishin'

On Saturday my branch went boating at Jordanelle. Jeff and I decided to go early and get some fishing in since we had talked about going for a while. Since we're doers, not talkers, we were on the road by 6 am hoping to catch something. The drive there was very pretty, not at all what I expected. We managed to get lost twice because I didn't see the turn offs for Heber. (I missed both of them) After arriving it took about an hour to actually get our hooks in the water since we were all using new poles. I have newfound respect for Jeremiah since he always did that stuff for us and he's always been patient about it. Kayleigh joined us at about 7:30 and we fished until around 10:30. Kayleigh got a nibble but didn't know it since it was her first time fishing in 10 years! Here's a few pics. I did some pretty good casting if I do say so myself.

We also went boating and we all tried our hand (or feet!) at wakeboarding. None of us were successful but at least we tried! If I'm able to snag those pictures from someone else soon, I'll add them. Kayleigh and I were both burned and three days later my nose is a bright red still.

Manti

The branch went to Manti to go see the Mormon Miracle Pageant near the end of June. I was so stoked because I remember the choir of angels part at the end and how cool I thought that was. Oh to be young again! I swear they sang "The Spirit of God," but it turns out they don't. The pageant was cheesy as usual but it was still fun.

Before the pageant we went up Maple Canyon and had bbq turkey and some dutch oven potatoes. It was the best dinner I have had since coming back from Arizona. Here's a few pics of us at the canyon and "hiking."

The girl in brown is Lydia who hangs out with us every so often

Jeff and I. No wonder people think we're dating. We're always taking pictures together.

A birds nest we found with an unhatched egg. I thought it was a dud and wanted to take it but everyone told me no. I think it'd be really funny if someone was playing a joke on people and just put an easter candy in there.

Left to right: Michelle, Tasha, Carrie, Jeff, and Lydia

And I obviously like taking pictures of myself.

Panda!

I made a great discovery on Saturday! They've put in a Panda Express by my house AND it has a drive through! I only get 3 certain things at Panda because everything else is so bad for you and I hate getting out of the car (I'm American) to do my order, esp when I feel like a scrub. Apparently it's been there for a while but it's by the newish Walmart that I haven't been to for a bit. It made my heart feel super happy.

My Long Weekend

I flew home Wednesday night so I would be there for all the graduation festivities that were happening for my brother Stuart. I was so proud of my family this time. After 5 tries, we finally got everything right on the last one! We were on time for everything, we got awesome seats, and I personally think that the stress level was kept to a minimum. Here's some shots of the graduation extravaganza.

One funny thing is that Hillary ran over to the family picture taking area because she had the pass to get in. I was worried that she hadn't made it in time so I tried pictures from my side of the field. We ended up being in each others pictures but are both extremely fuzzy.

Since graduation was on Thursday, we decided to have a grad party Friday night to have it be less hectic. We had Hawaiian Haystacks, fruit, and potato salad. I'm going to toot my own horn and show off the awesome cake I made. I even surprised myself on how well it turned out.
Overall the party went great. The only thing that had to be changed was the party was moved to inside because it was too windy outside. Luckily my mom did an awesome job of getting the house ready and my brother and friends were able to hang out in the family room while we got the living room.

On Saturday Callie had a dance recital that we all attended. My mom and I were the last to leave the house and we walked through the doors just as Callie had started.

Callie was so stinkin cute! She was so excited after the recital that she kept dancing around the house and was dancing as she was watching herself dancing as we played the video back to her. The cute girl on the very left is her friend Corrinne which Callie reminds us all the time that Corrinne is her best friend in the whole wide world.

We had another big dinner that night with King Jerry providing us with the best brisket I've ever tasted. Kayleigh, Dustin, Hillary, Jeremiah, and I played Settlers later on and I was grumpy because I was so tired and I was losing and I hate losing. Even more, I hate it that Jeremiah wins all the time.

Sunday we all went to church and I left after Sacrament to get ready to go but returned for the 3rd hour and went to Young Womens with Hillary and my mom. Kenny received the Melchizedek at the end. Then I raced home, threw everything into my car and said goodbyes. I wanted to get on the road before Kayleigh and Dustin because they drive faster than I do. Turns out I didn't need to because Kayleigh blew a tire outside of Mesquite and that set them back 3 hours. I got home at 11:30 pm and was glad to have the weekend finally over!

BBQ

We went to a BBQ this Friday since we couldn't have one on Memorial Day because of the rain. This house was the awesomest house I've ever seen. The entire house looked like it came from a scrap book magazine. (Chelsea's cute vintage style) Here's a pic of me and Jeff from that night. I kept making them take the picture over because I didn't look cute in them and this is Jeff's semi irritated face. I find it funny because later on that night, he kept having me take pictures of him!

This was on the wall in her office/workroom. In case you can't tell what it is, she's taken a lot of different envelopes on the wall and underneath it says "leave a message"

She has 3 kids and this is in their family/play room. I wish she gave tours of her home. I wish I had taken more pictures, I would copy everything that she did so I would have the coolest house on my block.
